Alliance Engineering Services Inc. was retained by Interlake-Eastern Regional Heath Authority to provide prime consulting and project management services for a Sprinkler System Retrofit at Hunter Memorial Hospital and Goodwin Lodge Personal Care Home located in Teulon, MB.
Features of this project included a wet and dry pipe sprinkler system, fire water storage system, groundwater supply well, new standalone pumphouse, fire pump and private fire main.
Another aspect of this project included addressing existing fire separation deficiencies that were identified through in assessment report completed by the Client.
During the construction phase of this project, site investigations determined that the facilities existing HVAC systems were drawing outside air directly from the attic space. To address these concerns Alliance Engineering Services Inc. provided the HVAC design to rework the facilities outside air intake to meet current relevant standards and codes.
This project demonstrated AESI's ability to manage a multi-disciplined project on budget, while satisfying all stakeholder requirements.
